April is one of the wettest months in the UK, you can take advantage of the shoulder season in many Asian destinations such as Bhutan. Bhutan’s generally dry spring starts in early March and lasts until mid-April. There are numerous festivals or Tshechu (festival meaning 10th day) held annually in various temples, monasteries and dzongs throughout the country. The most popular of which happens in Paro. It is believed that everyone must attend a Tshechu and witness the mask dances at least once in order to receive blessings and wash away their sins.
