Those seeking more than just luxury accommodation in Bhutan will not be disappointed by COMO Uma Punakha. The property is part of the landscape, nestled on a hillside at a bend in the Mo Chu river. This means every room commands sweeping views of the Punakha Valley and the Mo Chu as it winds its way through the rice fields and orchards.

There are 2 villas – a two-bedroom COMO Villa ideal for families and a One-Bedroom Villa perfect for couples – provide not just privacy but soul-stirring views of the forest, mountains and the surrounding valley. There are also eight deluxe Valley View rooms, some with private terraces, share similar breathtaking views and come with king-size beds or twins and spacious bathrooms.

The result is a luxury escape that feels sleek yet connected to its context.

The restaurant at COMO Uma Punakha, immerses you in the traditional flavours of Bhutan, offering authentic local cuisine at one of the finest restaurants in the country.  The majority of the produce comes from local farmers, which means fresh vegetable, fruit and dairy products every day. All of this is used in traditional dishes as well as international menus.  For quiet nights of total privacy, the resort offers in-villa and in-room dining until 10.30pm.

COMO Shambhala Retreat offers a range of holistic, Asian-inspired treatments including signature massages, facials and body therapies. The facility is nestled in the hush of a woodland glade near to the hotel, and has two treatment rooms: a double for couples and a single room featuring a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath. Both rooms have far-reaching views of the valley.
