Your journey starts in Kandalama exploring the ancient ruins of Anuradhapura, Polannaruwa and the Sigiriya. As you proceed, you explore the famous Kandy and the hill county. Go on a leopard safari in Yala National Park. Teaming with birdlife and healthy population of leopards, sloth bears and elephants, Yala is with good reason, Sri Lanka’s most popular national park. Explore historic Galle and Colombo sharing with you centuries of histories and an interesting local life.

DAY 1: In transit

Fly to Colombo.

DAY 2: Kandalama - Heritance Kandalama

Arrive Colombo and drive to Kandalama. Evening at leisure. First of three nights here.

DAY 3: Kandalama - Heritance Kandalama

Day excursion to Anuradhapura and famous cave temples of Dambulla with earliest works dating from the 1st C. BC. See the stunning frescoes and numerous fascinating Buddha statues.

DAY 4: Kandalama - Heritance Kandalama

Early morning climb the impressive Rock Fortress of Sigiriya, a 6th century massive granite outcrop soaring 600 ft above the plains. The fortress is home to famous ‘Sigiriya Maidens’ frescoes. Afternoon visit to Polonnaruwa, the fascinating ruins of the 11th C. Capital of Sri Lanka.

DAY 5: Kandy - Amaya Hills

Drive to Kandy enroute visit the famous Cave Temples of Dambulla, the Spice Garden and a Batik fabric dyeing factory. Afternoon visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. First of two nights in Kandy.

DAY 6: Numara Eliya- The Grand

Morning explore Kandy Town and the Temple of the Tooth. Later take a scenic train journey to Nuwara Eliya or opt to drive in your chauffer car. First of two nights in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 7: Numara Eliya- The Grand

Take an early morning visit to Horton Plains. Adventure seekers can go hiking at an altitude of 2,134m to the ‘World’s End’ – a sheer 1,000 feet vertical escarpment, a unique feature of Horton Plains. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 8: Yala - Leopard Safaris

Drive to Yala. Afternoon game drive. Evening at leisure. First of two nights here.

DAY 9: Yala - Leopard Safaris

Morning and afternoon game drives.

DAY 10: Galle - The Fortress

Drive to Galle. First of two nights here.

DAY 11: Galle - The Fortress

Day to explore the Galle Fort at your pace.

DAY 12: Colombo - Maniumpathy

Drive to Colombo. Afternoon sightseeing tour. Overnight stay in Colombo.

DAY 13: Depart Colombo

Fly back home.
