BEST TIME TO VISIT INDIA

The sheer size of the country means the weather patterns are extremely varied but we can advise you on best areas to visit whichever month you choose to travel to India

Regional weather varies widely within India which makes it a year round destination. In Rajasthan and the north (except in the Himalayas), September through March is ideal time to visit when its warm but not too hot and fairly dry. December-January winter sets in and evening temperatures can drop considerably whilst day time is cooler and ideal for sightseeing. April it starts getting hotter and humid but for those who don’t mind higher temperatures hovering around 30-35 degrees celsius, April can still be a good time to travel as its mostly dry. May-June are best avoided due to extreme humidity. July and August sees the arrival of monsoon in North India which makes them fairly wet months to travel.

South India is perfect for a visit from September to April when its not too hot and fairly dry. December & January sees plenty of sunshine and high temperatures; making South India an ideal destination for a Christmas holiday. South India does not experience any winter season so it’s either hot or hotter throughout the year. May & June see the arrival of monsoon. July and August can be very wet and although there may be days of sunshine, rain can be persistent and heavy so this time of year is best avoided.
