It is ideally situated for you to explore the kingdom’s spectacular monasteries, centuries-old street festivals, scenic mountain passes and pristine wilderness. The international airport is situated at Paro, an hour from Thimphu.

Staying true to Bhutan’s ancient and alluring ways, Taj Tashi enchantingly blends Dzong architecture and modern design, and is adorned with classical hand-drawn Buddhist murals. The 66 spacious rooms and suites overlook the exquisite mountains and township, and capture the essence of Bhutanese art and architecture.

Each of Taj Tashi’s 66 expansive rooms and suites overlook sweeping views of the mountains and feature hand-painted murals of clouds in a traditional style.

The rooms and suites are spacious and appointed with modern amenities. The finely fitted bathrooms are roomy, and have amenities like floor warmers and bath-towel heater.

The Taj Tashi offers guests a range of delightful culinary experiences that combine the best of Bhutanese with Tibetan and European cuisines.  The Thongsel is their all-day-dining multi-cuisine restaurant.  The Chig Ja Gye is their traditional Bhutanese restaurant. The restaurant is set in a dramatic space embellished with old style gold-leaf paintings and horn instruments.  The Ara bar is a excellent place to relax for either pre or post dinner drinks.

The hotel has a Jiva Spa which offers exclusive signature treatments carefully recreated from the fabled lifestyle of Indian royalty and the healing therapies of Indian spirituality.
